Her Story

After earning her degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson College, Christine spent the first decade of her career in high finance, working at institutions like Fitch Ratings and The Carlyle Group. While she built her career, her family’s company, Finaly General Contracting, was laying its own foundation—earning a reputation for integrity, craftsmanship, and partnership in New York City’s commercial construction world.

In 2010, Christine made the leap to join the business her father, Edward Pitre, founded in 2001. What began as a strategic move—bringing financial and operational strength to the company—quickly evolved into something more personal. She saw the potential to grow Finaly beyond its roots while staying true to its core values. Starting as Vice President of Finance, she implemented streamlined systems, built out the risk management division, and launched a 401(k) and profit-sharing plan. She also began studying Construction Management and Real Estate at NYU’s Schack Institute, deepening her commitment to mastering the industry.

When Christine officially took the helm in 2019, Finaly GC was already a trusted name. Under her leadership, it became a premier portfolio contractor for some of New York City’s most influential commercial real estate owners and operators—including SL Green Realty and Tishman Speyer. But Christine is the first to credit the company’s success to the team. She’s proudest of the culture they’ve built together—one grounded in quality, performance, and professionalism.

Christine’s passion for elevating women in male-dominated industries extends beyond Finaly’s four walls. She’s a founding member of the WPO Platinum X group, serves on the Women’s Building Congress Public Policy Committee, and acts as an Ambassador for Nontraditional Employment for Women (NEW). Thanks to her leadership, Finaly GC proudly holds four WBE certifications (WBENC, Empire State, NYC SBA, and the Port Authority).
